Entry fees are not refundable under any circumstance. The Race Director reserves the right to modify or cancel the race or course for safety concerns, road condition concerns or natural disaster. In such cases there will be no refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid. There is no complimentary race entry to a future race. Entry fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, in advance of the race date – including course preparation, race supplies, permits and administration. We will make every effort to produce a fair and safe event for all participants. Any decision we make that impacts the race date or potential cancellation is carefully considered and based on the overall event safety, sustainability and manageability.

In 2024, you may sell your bib to another person up until 7 business days prior to event. All bib sales must be done on RACE ROSTER.
WFPS Run will only accept bib transfers done through RACE ROSTER. If you buy a bib and do not use the RACE ROSTER system to complete the transfer process, we cannot assist you in transferring the bib into your name.
Review these terms before starting process:
- Runners, please note that all bib sales/transfers are subject to a $20 fee.
- Transfers may only be completed into the same category – if the original registration was for a 5K, the new registration must also be for the 5K. If permitted by the organizer, the new participant may change event categories after the fact.
- The newest price is applied at checkout when the recipient accepts the transfer. WFPS RUN has a tiered price schedule, the current price could be higher than that for the original participant.
- The original registration fee is not refunded until the new participant accepts and completes the transfer process. RaceRoster.com processing fees are not refunded.
- Once the recipient has accepted and completed the transfer, the original registrant will be canceled and refunded. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. A transfer fee is applied, it will be deducted automatically from the refund.

Participants in the Half Marathon, 10k and 5k races can run for FREE…by supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation and collecting donation pledges**
**In 2024, your fee can be refunded if you raise a minimum of:
- Half Marathon: $300
- 10k: $200
- 5k: $175
*You must be registered FIRST to participate in this Program.
Q: How can I get my refund?
Participants can drop off pledges during the two-day Race Kit Pick Up or on Race Day. On Race Day the HSF pledge drop off table is located inside the Bag Check Area inside they CMU gymnasium before the run. We will be announcing the top 3 fundraisers in November via e-blast.
Q: I won’t be at kit pick up.

Q: How long do I have to submit my donations to get a refund or tax receipt?

You will be refunded your original registration fee plus GST. Sorry, we cannot refund Race Roster fees, or any donations made at the time of registration.
Q: If I choose tax receipt what happens?
If you are onsite, HSF will confirm you have met your minimum pledge goal. HSF will provide WFPS Run with a list of all runners who chose the tax receipt. WFPS Run will submit your original registration fee plus GST to HSF on your behalf. Sorry, we cannot include Race Roster fees, or any donations made at the time of registration. Your donation will be part of the 2024 tax receipts – HSF issues these in early 2025. We will be using your name and address on your registration to submit to HSF.
The health and safety of our runners and volunteers is our top priority. Taking into account the high vaccination rate of Manitobans, and in consultation with public health authorities, WFPS RUN will proceed with the policy that masks are encouraged, not required.
FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
Is the course certified? Yes, both the Half Marathon and 10k courses are certified with Athletics Canada
Can I run/walk with my child in a stroller? Strollers will ONLY BE PERMITTED ON THE 5KM COURSE, IN THE LAST STARTING CORRAL.
Can I run with my dog? Sorry, we love dogs, but we cannot allow dogs on the course due to the dangers it presents to other runners.
How long is the course open? The Half Marathon has a course time limit of 4 hours. After that point, runners will kindly be asked to exit to the nearest side walk and obey all rules of the road as they pertain.
Are the participants allowed to wear headphones? Yes, with caution. We kindly ask that you are aware of your surroundings, oncoming vehicle traffic and always following instructions of the course marshals or police.
Do you have a hotel rate near the race site? Yes. Details of our new hotel partnership will be available soon.
I can no longer run in the event. Can I get a refund? Sorry, there are no refunds or deferrals.
I want to downgrade my event. Please email email@example.com to change your event. Please note:
- After Sept 11th you will have to accept the shirt from your original reg (i.e. Switching from a half to a 10k – you must take a half shirt)
- Downgrades done during kit pick up are subject to a $20 fee.
- No race day downgrades will be allowed
I want to sell my bib to another person. Please follow the instructions on our website how to sell your bib to another runner. WFPS Run supports running under your own name and legal bib transfers. If you chose to purchase a bib from another runner outside of our Race Roster bib transfer method, we cannot assist you in transferring it over to your name.
